COURSE CURRICULUM

The Applied Mathematics (BSc) program offers a diverse range of courses that combine rigorous mathematical theory with practical applications across various fields. Students study foundational topics such as MATH 1220: Linear Algebra, MATH 1230: Differential Calculus, and MATH 1232: Integral Calculus, which provide essential tools for understanding mathematical structures and continuous change. More advanced courses like MATH 2070: Graph Theory 1 and MATH 2080: Introduction to Analysis deepen students’ understanding of discrete mathematics and real analysis, key areas in both theoretical and applied mathematics. The program also includes specialized courses such as MATH 3610: Introduction to Mathematical Modelling, where students learn to create mathematical representations of real-world systems, bridging theory and application. Interdisciplinary courses such as ECON 2030: Mathematical Economics integrate mathematical methods with economic theory, preparing students to analyze economic problems quantitatively. COMP 3190: Introduction to Artificial Intelligence introduces students to AI concepts and algorithms, connecting applied mathematics with computer science.
