COURSE CURRICULUM

The BFA Honours degree in Art History offers students the opportunity to deepen their knowledge and skills through an additional year of specialized study. This extended program includes advanced coursework in art history, allowing students to engage more thoroughly with critical research, theory, and original works of art. Alongside these focused art history courses, students can choose from optional studio electives, enabling a broader exploration of creative practices and enhancing their understanding of visual arts in both academic and practical contexts. To transfer into the honours program, students must first successfully complete 69 credit hours within the general Art History program. This requirement ensures that students have built a solid foundation in the discipline before advancing to more rigorous and specialized studies.
