The Environmental Studies program offers a diverse range of courses that provide students with a comprehensive understanding of the social, political, economic, and legal aspects of environmental issues. Core courses include Environmental Science 1 – Concepts and Environmental Science 2 – Issues, which introduce students to foundational environmental knowledge and current challenges. Geography courses such as Introduction to Human Geography and Introduction to Physical Geography explore the spatial relationships between people and the environment. Economics is addressed through courses like Introduction to Microeconomic Principles and Introduction to Environmental Economics, helping students understand the economic factors influencing environmental decisions. Communication skills are developed in Technical Communication in the Environmental Sectors, preparing students to effectively convey complex environmental topics. Legal and ethical aspects are covered in Environmental Responsibilities and the Law, equipping students to navigate regulatory frameworks. Research skills are strengthened with Quantitative Research Methods in Geography, enabling students to analyze environmental data.
