COURSE CURRICULUM

MSc students admitted unconditionally, the program requires completion of four to six graduate term courses or an equivalent of 12.0 to 18.0 credit hours, selected in consultation with the student’s academic supervisor. The core curriculum begins with Health Sciences 5100, which focuses on research methodologies and provides foundational training in designing, conducting, and evaluating health research studies. Students must also choose one of two advanced methods courses depending on their research approach: Health Sciences 5300, which emphasizes advanced statistical analysis, or Health Sciences 5400, which focuses on advanced qualitative analysis. These courses ensure that students develop strong methodological skills aligned with their thesis requirements. In addition to the core and methods courses, students are required to complete two additional graduate-level courses or the equivalent of 6.0 credit hours. These electives are selected in consultation with the supervisor to support the student’s specific research interests and thesis topic. This flexible structure allows students to tailor their academic program while maintaining a strong foundation in research design and analysis. Overall, the coursework component is designed to equip students with advanced analytical, methodological, and disciplinary knowledge that directly supports the development of their thesis and prepares them for careers in health research, policy, or further doctoral studies.
