Geography program provide a balanced mix of physical geography, human geography, and technical skills used to study the Earth and its environments. Introduction to Physical Geography focuses on natural processes such as climate, landforms, soils, and ecosystems, helping students understand how the physical world is shaped. Introduction to Human Geography explores how people interact with space and place, including topics like population, culture, urbanization, and economic activities. Geomorphology examines the formation and evolution of landforms such as mountains, valleys, rivers, and coastlines, emphasizing the processes that shape the Earth’s surface over time. Geographical Information Systems (GIS) introduces students to digital mapping and spatial analysis tools used to collect, manage, and interpret geographic data for real-world problem-solving. Hydrology focuses on the movement, distribution, and quality of water on Earth, including rivers, groundwater, and water cycles. Remote Sensing teaches students how to gather environmental data using satellites and aerial imagery to study landscapes and environmental change. Field Techniques in Earth Science provides hands-on experience in collecting and analyzing geographic and environmental data in real-world settings.
