COURSE CURRICULUM

UFV’s Business Administration diploma program offers students a comprehensive foundation in core business disciplines across two years of study. In the first year, students build essential skills in business concepts, computer applications, economics, and communication. Semester I includes courses such as BUS 100 (Introduction to Business), BUS 160/CIS 110 (Computerized Business Applications), ECON 100 (Microeconomics), ENGL 105 (Academic Writing), and MATH 140 (Algebra and Functions for Business). Semester II continues with BUS 120 (Marketing), BUS 145 (Financial Accounting), CMNS 125 (Professional Communication), ECON 101 (Macroeconomics), and STAT 106 (Statistics I). In the second year, Semester III features BUS 203 (Organizational Behaviour), BUS 249 (Finance), an elective such as BUS 221 (Professional Selling), one non-business elective, and another BUS course. Semester IV includes BUS 201 (Human Resource Management), BUS 227 (New Business Development), BUS 247 (Management Accounting), BUS 261 (Business Law), and one more BUS elective. This well-rounded curriculum blends theoretical knowledge with practical business applications and prepares students for entry-level roles in business or further studies in UFV’s Bachelor of Business Administration. Students can tailor part of their learning through electives that match their career goals or interests.
