COURSE CURRICULUM

Honours degree in Mathematics, students must first complete all the requirements for the Mathematics major and then fulfill additional specialized coursework designed to deepen their expertise in key areas of the discipline. Required courses include Topics in Discrete Mathematics, Ordinary Differential Equations, Probability and Stochastic Processes, and advanced courses such as Advanced Linear Algebra or Group Theory, as well as Fourier Analysis or Metric Spaces. Additionally, students must complete an Honours Module, which is taken alongside one of the advanced courses, providing an opportunity to engage in more focused, research-oriented study. A minimum grade of B is required in the Honours Module to ensure a strong understanding of the material. Furthermore, students must maintain a minimum GPA of 3.00 in all upper-level Mathematics and Statistics courses to demonstrate consistent academic excellence at an advanced level. These requirements collectively prepare students for higher-level mathematical reasoning, research, and professional practice, equipping them with the skills necessary for graduate studies or careers in fields such as data science, engineering, education, and applied mathematics.
