Beginning with introductory courses like CHEM 083 and CHEM 110, students gain essential skills in atomic structure, stoichiometry, chemical kinetics, and thermodynamics, supported by laboratory work. Core courses such as CHEM 113 and CHEM 114 deepen understanding of molecular structure, bonding, and chemical reactivity, preparing students for specialized studies. Organic chemistry is explored through CHEM 213 and 214, focusing on reaction mechanisms and spectroscopy, while inorganic chemistry is covered in courses like CHEM 221 and 320, emphasizing coordination chemistry and bonding theories.
