COURSE CURRICULUM

The Political Science department offers a wide selection of courses across all levels in the upcoming academic terms, providing students with flexibility in planning their studies. At the 100-level, foundational courses such as POSC 100 - Introduction to Politics, POSC 110 - Introduction to Canadian Politics, and POSC 120 - Ideology & Politics will be available in Fall 2025, Winter 2026, and Summer 2026. At the 200-level, POSC 230 - Comparative Politics runs all three terms, while POSC 260 - International Relations & Global Politics and POSC 297 - Introduction to Public Policy are offered in Fall and Winter only. Upper-level (300-level) offerings include key courses like POSC 301 - The Canadian State & Indigenous Governance, POSC 311 - Power, Knowledge, and Order, POSC 313 - Contemporary Political Thought, POSC 332 - Politics of Multiculturalism, POSC 335 - Courts and Politics, POSC 357 - Guns & Politics, POSC 360 - The UN & International Organizations, and POSC 368 - Global Issues & Canadian Foreign Policy—all offered in Fall 2025. Winter 2026 expands options with POSC 300 - Research Methods, POSC 307 - Government & Business, POSC 309 - Canadian Constitutional Politics, and POSC 312 - Political Thought. Select 400-level seminars will also be available, such as POSC 410 in Fall and POSC 430 in Winter.
