The MBA program at University Canada West (UCW) offers a comprehensive, industry-relevant curriculum designed to equip students with critical managerial and leadership skills for today’s dynamic business world. Spanning five terms, the course structure begins with foundational knowledge in business ethics, accounting, and talent management, emphasizing sustainability and the Canadian business context, including Indigenous perspectives. As students progress, they explore advanced topics such as business analytics, financial management, operations, marketing, and leadership within a global context, supported by practical tools like PESTEL, VRIO, and the triple bottom line. The program culminates in a capstone or course-based experience, allowing students to choose between a consulting project, a startup launch, a practicum, academic research, or advanced coursework in strategic management, digital transformation, and small business operations. A standout feature of the program is the option to specialize in Supply Chain Management, which responds to post-COVID industry shifts and is supported by Canadian sector partnerships. The specialization includes three focused courses—Supply Chain Management, Logistics and Transportation, and Procurement and Inventory Management—covering essential areas such as sourcing, inventory, distribution, sustainability, digital technology, and SCM resilience. This practical specialization, combined with UCW’s collaboration with digital leaders like IBM, Salesforce, and the Digital Marketing Institute, ensures graduates are equipped with both analytical tools and industry certifications (e.g., CDMP, CPHR).
