The MBA program at University Canada West (UCW) offers a comprehensive, career-driven academic pathway that integrates foundational business knowledge with specialized expertise in emerging fields. In the initial terms, students develop core competencies in ethics, accounting, talent management, analytics, finance, operations, leadership, and marketing, with a strong emphasis on sustainability, equity, diversity, inclusion, and Indigenous perspectives. Courses like BUSI 601 and MRKT 621 prepare students to make socially responsible decisions, while BUSI 650 and FNCE 623 introduce analytical and financial skills essential for modern business environments. Project management, strategic thinking, and cross-functional integration are developed in later terms, culminating in a capstone experience or a course-based completion pathway. Students may also choose to pursue a specialization in Artificial Intelligence and Machine Learning Leadership, which combines business management principles with advanced AI/ML technical applications. This includes BUSI 654, where students explore AI applications across business domains such as HR, marketing, finance, sustainability, and EDII; MGMT 654, which emphasizes leadership and advanced project management for AI-driven initiatives; and MGMT 656, focused on equipping STEM professionals with leadership, communication, and strategic skills to manage innovation and interdisciplinary technical teams. The specialization prepares graduates to manage the complex and rapidly evolving AI landscape with ethical and innovative leadership strategies. Throughout the program, students engage in real-world projects, consulting opportunities, and experiential learning, with optional certifications in digital marketing and access to industry datasets and platforms.
