COURSE CURRICULUM

Certificate in Artificial Intelligence at Trent University consists of 5.0 academic credits designed to provide a well-rounded foundation in both the technical and ethical dimensions of AI. The curriculum includes 3.0 COIS credits: Programming for Computer Science, Introduction to Data Science, Introduction to Information Systems, Applied Artificial Intelligence and Machine Learning, Human-Computer Interaction, and an Information Systems Project. Students also complete 0.5 FINA credit in Financial Econometrics, 1.0 MATH credit through two non-calculus statistics courses covering elementary probability and statistical methods, and 0.5 PHIL credit with a course in the Philosophy of Artificial Intelligence.
