COURSE CURRICULUM

The MSc in Psychology research-intensive program that combines advanced coursework with independent thesis research. In the first year, students complete a series of statistical and field-specific courses, including a year-long seminar (PSYC 5801H), Advanced Univariate Statistics (PSYC 5016H), and either Advanced Multivariate Statistics (PSYC 5017H) or Advanced Qualitative Analysis (PSYC 5120H), along with two additional half-credit electives. Students are also expected to begin work on their thesis research during this year. The second year is focused on completing the thesis and participating in a second year-long seminar (PSYC 5802H), with the goal of furthering scientific training through hands-on experience in methodological, statistical, and/or laboratory techniques. To remain in good academic standing, students must achieve a minimum grade of B- (70%) in all courses; any grade below that is considered a failure and results in removal from the program. This structure ensures that graduates are well-prepared for doctoral studies or careers in psychological research and related fields by providing both theoretical grounding and practical research experience.
