COURSE CURRICULUM

The Bachelor of Science Honours Program in Chemical Physics at Trent University is an advanced interdisciplinary degree that integrates chemistry, physics, and mathematics to study the behaviour of matter at the atomic and molecular scale. The program requires a total of 20.0 credits, including 14.0 credits in core scientific and mathematical coursework. In chemistry, students complete 3.0 CHEM credits that include general chemistry, physical chemistry, and advanced chemistry topics, ensuring strong laboratory and theoretical understanding. Mathematics is a key component, with 0.5 credit each in introductory calculus courses and 2.0 additional credits in higher-level mathematics such as calculus, linear algebra, and differential equations, providing essential quantitative skills.
