COURSE CURRICULUM

The Bachelor of Science in Mathematics (General) at Trent University is a 15.0-credit program designed to build strong foundational and intermediate skills in mathematical theory, computation, and problem-solving. Students begin with core introductory courses such as MATH 1110H or 1111H and MATH 1120H or 1121H, which provide essential grounding in calculus and fundamental mathematical reasoning. The program continues with key required courses including MATH 1350H, 1550H, 2110H, 2200H, 2350H, and 2560H, which develop competence in areas such as algebra, calculus, and mathematical structures. Students then choose additional credits from courses like MATH 2120H, 2150H, 2260H, 2570H, 2600H, or COIS 1020H, allowing exposure to applied mathematics and computing concepts.
