COURSE CURRICULUM

The Bachelor of Arts in Ancient Greek and Roman Studies at Trent University is a single-major General program requiring a total of 15.0 credits, with at least 7.0 credits specifically in Ancient Greek and Roman Studies (AGRS), Greek (GREK), and Latin (LATN). For degree regulations, all AGRS, GREK, and LATN courses are counted within the discipline limit. Students must complete 1.0 AGRS credit through AGRS 2103H and AGRS 2303H, along with 0.5 AGRS credit from either AGRS 2205H or AGRS 2206H. The program also requires 2.0 credits at the 3000 level or above in AGRS, GREK, or LATN, ensuring advanced study of classical topics. In addition, students must complete 1.0 credit at the 2000 level or higher and another 2.5 credits from AGRS, GREK, or LATN courses, allowing flexibility to explore areas such as ancient history, literature, and language.
