COURSE CURRICULUM

The Audio and Video Post-Production program at Trebas Institute Quebec Inc. is structured across five intensive terms, each focusing on developing both the technical and creative skills essential to succeed in the post-production industry. In Term 1, students gain a solid foundation in post-production processes, industry structure, and software tools, along with hands-on experience in setting up workflows and recording sound effects. Term 2 dives into the history of cinema and television, teaching green screen and lighting techniques, 2D animation, and the skills needed to edit a professional TV advertisement. In Term 3, the focus shifts to audio and dialogue work, including ADR, voice editing, music analysis, and the creation of title sequences and credits for film and television. Term 4 expands students’ abilities in 3D animation, visual compositing, and advanced colour correction, while also introducing post-production techniques specific to documentaries. The final term, Term 5, is where students bring everything together. They learn advanced sound mixing and editing, motion graphic and overlay design, and complete the full post-production of a short film, demonstrating all their acquired skills. With a strong emphasis on industry-standard tools and real-world applications, the program prepares graduates for careers in film, TV, advertising, and digital content creation.
