COURSE CURRICULUM

The Master of Science (MSc) program offers three study options: Thesis, Major Research Paper (MRP), and Course Only. The Thesis option requires completion of a Master’s Thesis and Master’s Seminar (both Milestones) along with 4 elective courses. The MRP option includes a Major Research Paper and Master’s Seminar (Milestones) plus 6 electives. The Course Only option consists of 8 elective courses. Electives cover a broad range of computer science and data science topics, each typically worth 1 credit. Course examples include Advanced Algorithms, Advanced Software Engineering, Machine Learning, Deep Learning, Natural Language Processing, Computer Vision, and Knowledge Discovery. There is also an AI specialization, where students must take a specified minimum number of electives from AI-focused courses such as Soft Computing and Machine Intelligence, Advanced Artificial Intelligence, Reinforcement Learning, and Deep Learning in Computer Vision. For both the Thesis and MRP options within the AI specialization, the seminar and research must focus on an AI-related topic. The program’s flexible structure allows students to tailor their learning paths based on interests, with strong emphasis on research and specialization areas.
