COURSE CURRICULUM

The Ted Rogers MBA program at Toronto Metropolitan University is a comprehensive, experience-focused business education that blends academic learning with real-world application. Students complete seven core courses covering strategy, leadership, marketing, finance, law and ethics, innovation, and business analytics. These core courses develop essential competencies to thrive in today’s dynamic, technology-driven business environment. Students without a business background may need to complete foundation courses in accounting, finance, economics, statistics, and management before beginning the core curriculum.The program culminates in one of three capstone project options: Management Consulting, where students tackle a live project with a client; Entrepreneurial Experience, focused on developing or advancing a startup; or International/Canadian Experience, which includes fieldwork with businesses or community organizations and immersion in different business cultures.Students also take six half-credit electives, choosing from specialized areas like consulting, data analytics, digital enterprise, entrepreneurship, finance, human resources, and sport business. These electives are designed to reflect industry-relevant topics and are offered based on semester availability.Experiential learning is central to the program, with teaching methods that include simulations, consulting projects, case studies, field trips, and interactive sessions with faculty. This applied approach ensures graduates gain both the theoretical foundation and the practical skills to succeed in diverse leadership roles.
