COURSE CURRICULUM

The Biomedical Engineering graduate program includes core courses such as Anatomy and Physiology and Foundations in Biomedical Engineering, which provide students with essential knowledge of the human body and fundamental engineering principles applied to biomedical contexts. In addition to these core courses, students can choose from a variety of electives to deepen their expertise in specialized areas. Elective options include Advanced Imaging, which covers cutting-edge techniques for visualizing biological tissues, and Advances in Biomaterials, focusing on the development of materials used in medical devices. Other electives like Advances in Tissue Engineering explore methods for regenerating damaged tissues, while Biomedical Ultrasound introduces students to ultrasound technology for diagnostic and therapeutic applications. The program also offers courses such as Computations in Genetic Engineering, Design of BioMEMS (biomedical microelectromechanical systems), Modelling of Biomedical Systems, and Nanobiotechnology, allowing students to engage with emerging technologies and computational methods in biomedical research.
