COURSE CURRICULUM

The Master of Applied Science (MASc) in Aerospace Engineering at Toronto Metropolitan University is a one-year full-time program with a maximum completion time of three calendar years. The program requires students to complete five course credits, including three aerospace-specific courses and two additional credits either from a related TMU program or as transfer credits. With supervisor approval, one of these courses may be a Directed Studies course (AE8135), allowing for personalized study tailored to the student’s research interests. Course selections are typically finalized through a Program of Study agreement between the student and their supervisor to ensure a focused and relevant curriculum. The MASc program culminates in a thesis that demonstrates the student’s original research contributions to the field of aerospace engineering. In addition to the thesis, students are required to present their research findings, providing an opportunity to develop communication skills and receive scholarly feedback. This structure prepares graduates with advanced technical knowledge, research expertise, and professional skills essential for careers in aerospace engineering and related industries.
