COURSE CURRICULUM

The Department of Electrical, Computer, and Biomedical Engineering offers well-structured programs that balance theoretical foundations with practical engineering skills. In the first year, students build a solid base in engineering science fundamentals, including mathematics, physics, chemistry, computer science, and electric circuit theory. The second year introduces more specialized subjects such as discrete mathematics, data structures, engineering algorithms, and core electrical engineering topics like analog and digital electronic circuits. In the third year, students study advanced topics including computer architecture, microcomputer systems, object-oriented analysis and design, digital electronics, communication systems, and control theory. The final year focuses on data communications, digital systems engineering, real-time operating systems, VLSI design, and numerical techniques, with students choosing from a range of technical electives to deepen their expertise. A mandatory group design project in the final year encourages students to develop independent decision-making skills while planning and implementing an engineering solution. Additionally, starting in the fifth semester, students can opt for a Software Engineering specialization, gaining in-depth knowledge through a series of software-focused courses over their third and fourth years. The department also offers graduate programs in Electrical and Computer Engineering, allowing for advanced study and research in areas like signal processing, communications, computer systems engineering, and power engineering.
