COURSE CURRICULUM

The Post-Baccalaureate Diploma in Business Administration at Thompson Rivers University is a 20-course program designed for students who already hold a bachelor’s degree and want to develop specialized knowledge in business. The curriculum provides a comprehensive foundation in core business disciplines along with advanced upper-level courses. Students begin with foundational subjects such as mathematics for business and economics, introduction to business, microeconomics, and macroeconomics, which build essential analytical and economic understanding. The program then progresses into core functional areas including financial accounting, management accounting, financial management, marketing, management information systems, organizational behaviour, human resource management, and commercial law. These courses help students develop a strong understanding of business operations, financial decision-making, and organizational dynamics. In addition, students study business statistics through two courses, which strengthen data analysis and decision-making skills. Advanced subjects such as supply chain management, international business, business ethics and society, and strategic management prepare students for leadership roles in global and competitive business environments.
