COURSE CURRICULUM

The International Business Major is designed to prepare students for careers in the global economy by developing skills needed to manage trade, marketing, and operations across international markets. The program emphasizes how businesses operate in different cultural, economic, and political environments, helping students understand the complexities of global commerce. Core courses include International Trade Finance, International Marketing, Cross-cultural Management, Global Entrepreneurship, Doing Business in Emerging Markets, and Global Management. These courses build knowledge in international finance, marketing strategies, leadership, and business operations across borders. Students also complete at least two supporting courses from options such as International Economics, Professional Selling, or Marketing Research, allowing them to strengthen their analytical and business communication skills. An International Business Field Study course provides practical exposure to global business environments, and students who participate in study abroad may substitute this experience with another elective, further enhancing their international perspective. Graduates are prepared for a wide range of careers including export sales manager, foreign trade consultant, import-export specialist, international marketing manager, and international shipping specialist. Overall, the program develops globally minded professionals with strong cultural awareness, strategic thinking, and practical business skills needed to succeed in international markets and multinational organizations.
