COURSE CURRICULUM

The Human Resource Management (HRM) Major is a focused and challenging program that prepares students to become effective managers and leaders in organizational settings. It equips students with the knowledge and skills needed to manage an organization’s most important asset—its people. The program covers key areas of human resource practice, including organizational theory and design, workforce planning and staffing, labour relations, employment law, compensation and total rewards, and training and development. Students also study organizational change and development, learning how to support companies in adapting to evolving business environments. Courses such as Organizational Theory and Design, Human Resource Planning and Staffing, Labour Relations, Employment Law, and Organizational Learning provide a strong foundation in both the strategic and operational aspects of HR management. Advanced courses in HR strategy and professional practice help students integrate their knowledge into real-world decision-making. Graduates are prepared for a variety of careers, including human resources director, training officer, industrial relations officer, health and safety officer, mediator or arbitrator, employee benefits officer, and workplace relations specialist.
