COURSE CURRICULUM

Computing Science program is structured to build strong foundations in the first two years followed by advanced specialization in the final two years. In Years 1 and 2, students study core subjects such as Computer Programming I and II, Discrete Structures, Mathematics for Computing Science, Introduction to Computer Systems, Data Structures and Algorithm Design, Programming Methods, Mobile Development, Website Design and Development, Software Architecture and Design, along with communication courses like English Composition and Professional Writing. Students also complete several non-science and general electives to broaden their academic exposure and overall skills. In Years 3 and 4, the program shifts to more advanced and specialized topics including Computer Networks, Network Security, Operating Systems, Human-Computer Interaction, Advanced Web Development, Database Systems, Artificial Intelligence, and Software Engineering. Students also complete a capstone Computer Science Project that integrates their learning through practical application. Additionally, they select multiple upper-level computing electives to tailor their degree according to career interests such as cybersecurity, AI, or software development. The program is supported by general electives that help students maintain a well-rounded education. Overall, the curriculum is designed to develop strong programming, analytical, problem-solving, and software development skills required for careers in the rapidly growing technology industry.
