COURSE CURRICULUM

The Communications and Public Policy program at St. Thomas University is structured as a four-year undergraduate degree that combines communication studies with policy analysis and practical professional training. In the first year, students begin with foundational courses such as Introduction to Communications and Introduction to Policy Studies, which provide an understanding of how communication functions in society and how public policy is developed and implemented. These courses help students develop critical thinking, persuasive communication, and policy analysis skills. In the fourth year, students complete a senior seminar that involves case studies in communications and public policy, allowing them to integrate their learning in a research-focused environment. They also complete an internship, gaining practical experience in professional settings.
