The Cybersecurity graduate certificate program continues into Semester 2 with an advanced focus on practical, strategic, and analytical aspects of cybersecurity. In Cloud Security (CYBS 1006), students examine key concerns in securing cloud environments, learning to implement platform-agnostic security controls that align with legal, regulatory, and governance frameworks. In Securing Infrastructure (CYBS 1007), students apply advanced techniques to harden IT networks and server platforms, including Windows and Linux systems, enhancing resilience against potential attacks. Security Incident Response (CYBS 1008) emphasizes managing real-world security incidents, teaching students how to contain and mitigate attacks while producing effective incident response reports. In Threat Intelligence (CYBS 1009), students build on threat hunting skills to generate tailored threat intelligence for specific organizations by sourcing, analyzing, and synthesizing data into actionable insights. Cybersecurity Strategy (CYBS 1010) introduces students to high-level strategic thinking, where they learn to develop and align cybersecurity strategies with business objectives, assess risk, and ensure organizational preparedness through continual improvement. Finally, in Industry Cybersecurity Challenges: Solution (CYBS 1011), students revisit the real-world scenarios presented in the first semester, moving from threat assessment to full implementation of security solutions that reflect industry best practices, compliance standards, and ethical considerations.
