COURSE CURRICULUM

The Esthetician program offers a comprehensive and progressive curriculum designed to equip students with the theoretical knowledge and practical skills needed for a successful career in esthetics and medical esthetics. In the first semester, students study foundational courses such as anatomy and physiology, nail care techniques, hair removal, and basic facial treatments, alongside gaining hands-on experience in the in-house training salon, Dynamic Designs, and a 35-hour work placement to apply their learning in real-world settings. The second semester advances their skills with courses in skin care technology, body treatments, makeup application, and a second work placement, continuing to build competence through Dynamic Designs client service practice. In the third semester, students explore specialized topics including aging skin, nutrition, medical treatments, and advanced medical esthetic technologies such as Intense Pulsed Light and microdermabrasion, while enhancing their communication and customer relationship skills essential for client retention and professional success. The fourth semester focuses on chemistry in beauty products, advanced nail techniques, current skin care trends, and entrepreneurship, preparing students to understand product formulation, industry innovations, and business management. Throughout the program, students refine their technical, interpersonal, and business skills by working in the Dynamic Designs salon under instructor supervision. This blend of academic instruction, hands-on training, client interaction, and workplace experience ensures graduates are well-prepared for diverse career opportunities in spas, medical esthetic clinics, salons, or as entrepreneurs in the growing esthetics industry. The program emphasizes up-to-date techniques, client care, professional standards, and business acumen, providing a strong foundation for success in both general and medical esthetics fields.
