COURSE CURRICULUM

The Computer Programming program offers a comprehensive, hands-on curriculum designed to equip students with essential skills and knowledge for a successful career in software development and IT. In the first semester, students build foundational skills through courses in communication, introductory computer mathematics, databases, C++ programming, and networking, gaining familiarity with programming basics, data concepts, and networking fundamentals. The second semester advances these skills by focusing on intermediate C++ programming, GUI application development with C#, program design principles, web development using HTML, CSS, and JavaScript, and an introduction to web programming with client-server interaction and MVC architecture, alongside general education courses. In the third semester, the program prepares students for professional careers with courses such as career strategies for computing professionals, PHP programming, object-oriented programming with C++, advanced web programming integrating modern frameworks like MERN and MEAN, game programming fundamentals, and intermediate databases with MySQL, ensuring well-rounded expertise in both backend and frontend technologies. The final semester culminates in advanced topics including applied machine learning with Python using frameworks like TensorFlow and PyTorch, Java application development covering comprehensive object-oriented concepts, database administration and design emphasizing normalization and SQL, and a capstone course focusing on quality assurance and software testing to simulate real-world project development. Additional courses in cloud and centralized computing introduce Linux, Bash scripting, and mainframe systems, while special topics explore emerging trends, security, and ethics in programming. This program’s structure ensures that students not only master various programming languages and technologies but also develop critical thinking, problem-solving, teamwork, and career readiness skills essential for thriving in the rapidly evolving tech industry.
