COURSE CURRICULUM

The Business Fundamentals program is organized into two semesters that provide students with a strong foundation in core business concepts and practical skills. In Semester 1, students are introduced to the business environment through courses in introduction to business, college-level communications, business computer applications, introductory business mathematics, accounting fundamentals, and economics, along with a professional and personal development course that builds essential workplace skills. Semester 2 expands on this foundation by focusing on applied and interpersonal aspects of business, including business communications, principles of human resource management, marketing essentials, and the mathematics of finance. Students also develop advanced technical and analytical skills through business application modeling and explore modern workplace dynamics in a course focused on the human side of business and thriving in today’s evolving work environment. A general education course further broadens students’ perspectives and critical thinking abilities. Together, these courses are designed to build a well-rounded understanding of business operations, enhance communication and problem-solving skills, and prepare students for continued study in business-related diplomas or for entry-level roles across a variety of industries.
