COURSE CURRICULUM

The Bachelor of Business Administration in Management and Leadership at StFX follows the standard BBA curriculum where in your first and second years you complete core business courses shared across all business disciplines—such as accounting, finance, marketing, management, economics, math, and statistics—along with arts and science electives to build a strong foundation. After declaring the Management and Leadership major at the end of second year, your third and fourth years focus on advanced and specialized management courses that explore planning, organizing, leading, and evaluating within organizations, including subjects such as strategic management, human resources management, leadership, business ethics and social responsibility, and human behaviour in organizations, while also allowing you to take electives in contemporary areas like Indigenous business, environmental sustainability, gender in management, and labour relations. As a Management and Leadership student you also engage with dynamic learning methods such as case analysis, simulations, service learning projects, debates, and guest lectures that develop critical thinking, communication, and practical leadership skills. The program culminates with upper‑year business electives and a capstone strategy course, preparing you for diverse careers in human resources, management consulting, project management, labour relations, and related fields while giving you the adaptability and cultural intelligence needed in a global business environment.
