COURSE CURRICULUM

The Bachelor of Business Administration in International Business at StFX follows the general BBA curriculum where in the first and second years you complete core business courses shared across accounting, finance, marketing, management, enterprise systems, economics, math and statistics to build a strong foundation. At the end of second year you declare your International Business major, and in your third and fourth years you take focused business courses specific to the International Business stream, which typically include international business strategy, international trade, comparative international management, global marketing and related electives that develop your understanding of global markets, cross‑cultural business, and international regulatory frameworks. Throughout the degree you also complete arts and science electives to broaden your skills in areas such as language, culture, and critical thinking. The program may include opportunities for experiential learning such as an international exchange or immersion service learning to enhance cultural intelligence and practical experience in global contexts. Overall the curriculum combines foundational business knowledge with international business theory and practice, preparing you with analytical, communication, and global mindset skills valued by employers in multinational firms, government, NGOs, and international trade roles.
