COURSE CURRICULUM

The Esports Administration and Entrepreneurship program curriculum spans four semesters, blending foundational business knowledge, esports-specific skills, and hands-on experience to prepare students for careers in the esports industry. In the first semester, students begin with courses in Accounting Concepts I, Introduction to Canadian Business, Introduction to Esports, Esports Media Production I, Introduction to Sport Marketing, and Introduction to Sport Management, establishing a solid understanding of business principles, esports culture, and media production. The second semester builds on this foundation with Accounting Concepts II, Program and Event Management, Business Communications I, The Esports Industry, Esports Media Production II, and an elective, emphasizing event planning, industry knowledge, and communication skills. In the third semester, students advance into Social Media Marketing, Team and League Management, Administration of Esports Projects I, Esports Media Production III, Sport and the Law, and an elective, gaining practical skills in team administration, project management, legal considerations, and digital content creation. The fourth and final semester includes Marketing Design Technologies, Integrated Marketing Communications, Entrepreneurship, Administration of Esports Projects II, Esports Media Production IV, and an elective, allowing students to refine their marketing, business, and entrepreneurial abilities while completing large-scale esports projects and media production tasks. This curriculum ensures graduates acquire both theoretical knowledge and practical experience, preparing them for roles in esports management, event coordination, marketing, media production, and entrepreneurial ventures within the dynamic esports industry.
