COURSE CURRICULUM

The Electromechanical Engineering Technician – Robotics program curriculum is designed to provide students with a thorough understanding of robotics, automation, and related engineering technologies through a combination of theoretical and practical courses. In the first semester, students build a foundation with Mathematics I, DC fundamentals, Industrial Robotics I, Microcontrollers I, an introduction to engineering technology, technical workplace writing, and computer applications for electrical engineering, giving them the essential knowledge to begin hands-on work in robotics and automation. The second semester expands on this foundation with Mathematics II, Industrial Robotics II, Microcontrollers II, AC fundamentals, and an introduction to industrial robotic technologies and workshop practices, alongside an elective, allowing students to develop both technical proficiency and applied skills in real-world robotic environments. In the third semester, courses such as Fluid Power I, Introductory Statics, Welding and Materials for Robotics, Industrial Robotics III, Quality Processes for Manufacturing, and an elective provide students with advanced practical experience and knowledge in mechanical, electrical, and manufacturing processes. The fourth semester focuses on specialized skills with Robotic Vision Systems, Electrical Prints and Troubleshooting, Industrial Project Management, Introduction to Programmable Controllers, Fluid Power II, and an elective, enabling students to integrate knowledge from previous semesters into complex problem-solving and system design. This curriculum ensures graduates are well-prepared for careers in robotics, automation, and advanced manufacturing.
