COURSE CURRICULUM

The Plumbing Techniques program curriculum is designed to combine theoretical knowledge with hands-on practical skills, preparing students for careers in plumbing and pipefitting. In the first semester, students are introduced to foundational concepts through courses such as Plumbing Theory I, which provides an understanding of core principles, and Plumbing Practical I, offering hands-on experience with tools, materials, and basic installation techniques. Complementing these are Plumbing Math, which develops essential calculation skills, Plumbing Trade Safety to ensure safe work practices, and Plumbing Metal and Plastic Joining, which teaches proper techniques for connecting different piping materials. The second semester builds on this foundation with Plumbing Theory II, expanding students’ understanding of more advanced systems and concepts, alongside Plumbing Practical II for applied skill development. Additional courses such as Service and Installations focus on maintaining and installing plumbing systems, while Plumbing Math II enhances problem-solving and technical calculations. Plumbing Drafting and Blueprint introduces students to reading and interpreting technical drawings, an essential skill for accurate system design and installation. Together, these courses ensure students gain a strong balance of theory, practical experience, technical problem-solving, and safety knowledge. By completing these semesters, students are well-prepared for further education, apprenticeships, or entry-level roles in plumbing and pipefitting, equipped with both the practical skills and theoretical understanding required to succeed in the trade.
