COURSE CURRICULUM

The Computer Systems Technology – Networking program spans six semesters and provides students with a comprehensive foundation in networking, systems administration, programming, and IT security. In the first semester, students build core knowledge in Data Fundamentals, Networking I, Introduction to Programming with Java, HTML and CSS, Mathematics for Information Technology, and Law and Ethics in the Information Age, establishing both technical and professional skills. The second semester introduces Linux I, PHP Basics, Skills Development for IT Professionals, and Javascript I, along with an elective, strengthening programming and practical system skills. In the third semester, students study System Configuration I, Networking II, Network Administration, and basic spreadsheeting, while also completing an elective, emphasizing both configuration and network management. The fourth semester advances knowledge through Linux II, Network Security I, Networking III, Help Desk Analyst training, and System Configuration II, preparing students for complex network environments. In the fifth semester, students focus on Linux III, Network Security II, Project Management, Network Analysis and Design, and Cloud Server Administration, integrating security, design, and operational skills. The final semester covers Network Administration II, Technical Projects, Protocol Analysis, and Wireless Technology, consolidating technical expertise and hands-on project experience. Throughout the program, students gain both theoretical understanding and practical skills, preparing them for careers in network administration, IT security, and systems management.
