COURSE CURRICULUM

The Respiratory Therapy diploma is a comprehensive three-year program requiring 96 credits across 27 courses, designed to prepare students for careers in diagnosing, treating, and managing cardio-respiratory patients. The program features a blended learning format, combining in-person and online theoretical courses with face-to-face labs and practicum experiences. In the first two years, students complete two semesters each, focusing on foundational knowledge such as respiratory therapy healthcare core, anatomy and physiology, and pathophysiology. Alongside theory, students engage in clinical practice and patient assessment courses that build essential hands-on skills. The third year includes three semesters with intensive clinical practicums, allowing students to gain real-world experience in various healthcare settings. Courses cover advanced topics such as anesthesia, pulmonary function testing, outpatient care, and respiratory interventions. Practicum rotations enable students to apply their knowledge in acute and community care environments under professional supervision.
