COURSE CURRICULUM

The Journalism - Print and Online Journalism diploma requires 60 credits over two years, with 18 courses spanning two semesters per year. The program builds a strong foundation in journalism through core courses like Social Media Management, News Writing I and II, Online Journalism I and II, Journalism Ethics, Marketing Essentials, Visual Journalism I through III, Publication Planning and Design, News Research, and Writing for Journalism. The Print and Online major focuses on advanced skills through courses such as Daily News Reporting and Production, News Writing III, Public Relations Writing and Design, Journalism Practicum, and Journalism Projects, giving students practical and hands-on experience. Additionally, students choose two electives from options including Business Law, Digital and Social Media Advertising, Digital Marketing Foundations, Building and Managing Brands, Professional Selling and Ethics, Integrated Marketing Communications, Critical Thinking, or Freelancing and Portfolio Production. This curriculum equips students with the skills needed for careers in digital media, public relations, communications, and traditional journalism, emphasizing ethical reporting, content creation, and media production.
