COURSE CURRICULUM

The Business Administration – Financial Services diploma requires 60 credits, consisting of 20 courses completed over two years with two semesters each year. The program begins with a comprehensive business core covering essential subjects such as Introductory Financial Accounting I, Business Productivity Tools and Technology, Business Law, Business Mathematics, Communication and Presentation Skills, Microeconomics, Macroeconomics, Marketing Essentials, Introduction to Business, Organizational Behaviour, and Quantitative Methods. These foundational courses provide students with a broad understanding of business principles necessary for success in financial services. The Financial Services major courses focus on specialized topics including Introduction to Taxation, Money and Banking, Risk Management and Retirement Planning, Mutual Funds and Securities, Relationship Selling, Financial Planning Process and Estate Planning, and Integrated Finance. These courses develop the expertise required to assess and manage financial needs, build client relationships, and design comprehensive financial plans. Students also select an elective from business core options such as Personal Financial Planning, Human Resource Management, Digital Marketing Foundations, or Supply Chain Management to tailor their learning experience. Additionally, they complete a business core integrative experience through either a capstone project or strategic management course, allowing practical application of their knowledge.
