COURSE CURRICULUM

The Architectural Technologies diploma requires 60 credits, completed over two years with two semesters each year, encompassing 20 courses that provide a comprehensive education in architectural design and construction. The curriculum includes foundational and advanced courses in documentation and regulation, science and systems, technology, and research and design, each progressing through four levels (I-IV) to build depth of knowledge and practical skills. Key courses such as ARCH 200, 201, 203, and 205 introduce students to the basics of architectural documentation, building science, technology, and design research, while higher-level courses like ARCH 351, 353, 362, and 386 deepen this expertise. Complementing the architectural core, students take COMM 238 to develop technical communication skills, MATH 262 for technical mathematics essential in design and construction, and STAT 245 to understand statistics applicable in engineering and technology fields. The program culminates in the PROJ 372 Architectural Capstone Project, where students integrate their learning into a real-world project, showcasing their abilities to potential employers. This well-rounded curriculum equips students with the technical knowledge and hands-on experience necessary to excel as architectural technologists, BIM coordinators, or project managers in the construction industry.
