COURSE CURRICULUM

The Medical Radiologic Technology diploma program includes 23 courses totaling 70.5 credits over two and a half years, providing a thorough education in medical imaging. Students begin with foundational courses such as Anatomy and Pathology 1 and 2, and Infection Prevention and Control to build core medical knowledge. Radiologic skills are developed through courses like Radiographic Technique 1 and 2, Apparatus and Image Management, and Patient Care. Specialized imaging is introduced through Computed Tomography 1 and 2, Specialized Imaging 1 and 2, and Radiographic Applied Skills. Clinical and professional skills are integrated through Clinical Integration 1 and 2, Research in Allied Health, and Professional Practice 1 and 2. Practical experience is a key component of the program, with students completing Introduction to Practicum followed by three clinical placements in Clinical Practicum 1, 2, and 3. Courses in Radiation Protection and Quality Assurance and Control ensure students understand essential safety and regulatory standards. Together, this curriculum equips graduates with the knowledge, technical ability, and clinical experience required to begin a successful career as a radiologic technologist in various healthcare settings.
