COURSE CURRICULUM

The Office Professional certificate is a one-year program comprising 30 credits earned through 10 required courses spread across two semesters. Designed to prepare students for dynamic administrative roles, the program offers a comprehensive blend of business, technology, and communication skills. The curriculum includes AMAT 240 - Applied Mathematics for Business, which builds foundational quantitative skills relevant to office settings. BCMP 215 - Collaborative Software and Technologies and BCMP 220 - Business Software Foundations focus on the digital tools essential for modern office environments. Students gain proficiency in document creation with BCMP 250 - Word Processing Essentials, data handling through BCMP 260 - Spreadsheet Essentials, and visual communication using BCMP 270 - Presentation Software. Strong workplace communication is emphasized in COMN 220 - Communication and Presentation Skills and its advanced counterpart, COMN 280. The program also includes OADM 211 - Business Studies, providing insights into business operations, and OADM 257 - Office Administration, which covers essential administrative procedures and office management strategies.
