COURSE CURRICULUM

The Business and Industry certificate requires 30 credits, consisting of 10 courses, and can be completed within one to five years, offering flexibility to suit your schedule. The program includes six required courses, such as Introductory Financial Accounting I, Entrepreneurship, Marketing Essentials, Introduction to Business, Introduction to Management, and a Business Certificate Capstone, which should be taken only after completing all other courses and four electives. Electives allow you to customize your learning with a choice of one communications course, one technical course, and two business courses. Communication options include Intercultural Communications or Communication and Presentation Skills. Technical electives offer Business Productivity Tools and Technology, Project Management, or Information Systems. For business electives, you can select from a broad range of subjects such as Personal Financial Planning, Finance for Managers, Business Law, Business Mathematics, Macroeconomics, Human Resource Management, Leadership, Marketing Action, Organizational Behaviour, and Introduction to Supply Chain Management. This diverse selection ensures you can tailor the program to align with your interests and career goals.
