COURSE CURRICULUM

The Aircraft Structures Technician certificate requires the completion of 34.5 credits across 11 courses over two semesters within one year. This program offers a comprehensive curriculum designed to provide students with both theoretical knowledge and practical skills essential for a career in aircraft structural maintenance and repair. Courses include foundational subjects such as Aircraft Windows and Lenses, Aircraft Wood and Fabric Repair, and an Introduction to Aircraft Structures and Basic Aircraft Systems, which build a solid understanding of various aircraft components and systems. Regulatory knowledge is covered through Aviation Regulatory Management and Introduction to Canadian Aviation Regulatory Requirements, ensuring students are well-versed in industry standards and compliance. The core of the program focuses heavily on metal and composite aircraft structures, with in-depth courses in Introduction to Aircraft Metal Structures, Advanced Aircraft Metal Structures, and Aircraft Composite Structures, allowing students to master the latest repair and fabrication techniques. Complementing these technical courses are Standard Practices Theory and Lab, which provide hands-on experience in industry-standard procedures and workmanship.
