COURSE CURRICULUM

The one-year track of Sheridan College’s Project Management – Information Technology certificate includes two semesters of coursework followed by an optional co-op work term or workplace simulation. In the first semester, students take courses in Introduction to Project Technologies and Tools, Team Leadership and Stakeholder Management, Business Mathematics for Project Management, Project Risk Management, Agile Project Management, Data Analytics and Visualization Basics, and Project Management Fundamentals covering PMI standards and methodologies, totaling 21 credits. The second semester covers Project Budgeting and Scope Management, Project Change Management, Advanced Project Management Methodologies, Quality Assurance and Advanced Risk Management, Advanced Data Analytics and Project Management Capstone, Technical Project Management, and Enterprise Program and Portfolio Management, with optional electives such as AI and Emerging Technologies in Project Management or Cloud Project Management, totaling 19 credits. Eligible students may complete a co-op work term or workplace simulation for one credit, providing practical experience and industry exposure.
