Cloud Security graduate certificate program offers a carefully structured curriculum that equips students with both foundational knowledge and advanced technical skills needed for securing modern cloud environments. In the first semester, students begin with Security Fundamentals and Linux Fundamentals, laying the groundwork for understanding essential operating systems and security principles. Cloud Networking and Identity Management provides insights into managing user access and secure network configurations in cloud platforms, while Python builds programming skills critical for automation and scripting tasks. DevOps and Automation introduces practices for streamlining development pipelines, and Containerization explores tools like Docker to deploy and manage applications in scalable environments. The first term totals 21 credits and establishes the technical base for deeper specialization. In the second semester, the focus shifts to advanced cloud security topics. Identity and Access Control Management expands on authentication frameworks, while Kubernetes and Securing Microservices dives into orchestration and protecting containerized environments. Data Security addresses encryption, privacy, and compliance. Cloud Networks Security explores protecting data in transit and securing virtual networks, and DevSecOps integrates security practices into continuous development workflows. Students also study Site Reliability and Observability to monitor and maintain system integrity and performance. Finally, the Capstone Project challenges students to apply everything they’ve learned in a real-world scenario, synthesizing their technical and strategic capabilities.
