COURSE CURRICULUM

Plumbing Technician program offers a comprehensive and hands-on curriculum designed to equip students with essential skills and knowledge for the plumbing trade. In the first semester, students focus on foundational courses such as Plumbing Fundamentals 1A and 1B, covering the basics of the trade, along with Plumbing Trade Safety, Trade Calculations for Plumbing Practices, Trade Blue Print Reading, Computer Skills for Trades Professionals, and Industrial Workplace Preparation, totaling 27 credits. The second semester builds on this foundation with courses in Codes, Standards & Regulations, Plumbing Practice 2, Plumbing Theory 2, Welding for Plumbers 1, and a General Education Elective, totaling 21 credits. In the third semester, students advance to Gas Technician III courses, including practical and theory components, along with Trading Blue Print Reading 2, Rigging & Lifting, Plumbing Trade Calculations 2, Welding for Plumbers 2, and another General Education Elective, totaling 23 credits. The final semester focuses on advanced topics with Advanced Plumbing Theory and Practice, the second part of Gas Technician III practical and theory courses, a Trade Field Placement in Plumbing to gain real-world experience, and a course on Entrepreneurism Concepts, Trends, and Challenges, totaling 26 credits. This diverse curriculum not only covers core plumbing skills but also provides specialized gas technician training and related skills like welding and rigging, ensuring graduates are well-prepared for various aspects of the plumbing profession.
