COURSE CURRICULUM

The Financial Technology graduate certificate program is structured over two semesters and focuses on providing students with a comprehensive understanding of digital innovation in the financial sector. In Semester 1, students build foundational knowledge in key areas such as financial services and products (FNT101), privacy management and identity theft (FNT102), and the evolving role of blockchain and cryptocurrencies (FNT103). Additional courses include an overview of financial regulations and regulatory technology (FNT104), core business analysis skills tailored for fintech (FNT105), and an essential introduction to cybersecurity (FNT106). All courses in this term are delivered in a flexible format. Semester 2 advances the technical and entrepreneurial aspects of fintech, featuring courses in web and mobile design for fintech platforms (FNT201), fintech entrepreneurship and start-up strategies (FNT202), and data analytics in financial services (FNT204). Students also complete a Fintech Capstone Project (FNT203), which offers a practical, hands-on opportunity to apply their learning to a real-world problem or innovation. This structure ensures graduates are equipped with both the technological proficiency and business acumen to succeed in a fast-paced, highly regulated fintech environment.
