COURSE CURRICULUM

The Cybersecurity & Threat Management program spans two semesters and provides students with comprehensive technical knowledge, practical skills, and professional development required to succeed in the rapidly evolving field of cybersecurity. In Semester 1, students build foundational expertise through courses such as Information Security Principles and Policies, Security Architecture for Operating Systems, Mobile and Network, Ethical Hacking and Vulnerability Testing, IT Security: Ethical and Legal Issues, Security for Cloud and Internet of Things, and Data Analytics for Cybersecurity. These courses equip students to identify, assess, and mitigate security risks across diverse IT environments while understanding legal and ethical considerations. Semester 2 advances students’ skills with Communication Skills for Cybersecurity Professionals, IT Security Forensics, Mobile Application Security Assessment, Threat Investigation, Project Management, Authentication and Access Control, and culminates in the IT Security Capstone Project, where students apply their learning to real-world scenarios. The program also includes Work Term Preparation and an optional work-integrated learning term, providing hands-on industry experience and exposure to professional cybersecurity environments. By integrating technical training, applied projects, and professional development, the program prepares graduates to secure and defend network infrastructures, respond to cyber threats, and pursue careers in threat management, network security, ethical hacking, or related cybersecurity roles, equipping them with the skills and confidence to excel in one of the fastest-growing sectors of technology.
